Rigatoni Dish (kinda like spaghetti)

So my wife had a taste for spaghetti for dinner. Instead I made rigatoni. I first boiled some water, then I sauteed some garlic and diced onion in olive oil. After sauteing the garlic and onions I added about two diced tomatoes until they became soft. Once they became soft I added two cans of tomato sauce and let the sauce simmer. In a separate pan I cooked some seasoned ground turkey (black pepper, basil, paprika, cumin and brown sugar) with onion, green peppers, yellow peppers and red peppers. Once the meat is cooked I add the tomato sauce to the meat. After the rigatoni has cooked I add olive oil and spinach. I combine the two in one pot and the dish is complete.

To plate the dish I topped it with cheese and spinach.

Bambinos Pizza

So I went to Bambinos Pizza at 246 West Carson Street in Carson, CA. Bambino’s is located on the corner of Moneta Ave and Carson St. I ordered a mini cheese pizza with seasoned chicken. The crust was delicious, not too hard and not too soft, it was just right, but the pizza as a whole was not that good. It was nothing seasoned about the chicken and the sauce on the pizza was not that great, just plain. Maybe I came on a bad day, then again, maybe that's just how the food taste. I’ll give them another chance to redeem themselves some other time and with a different pizza.

Stuffed Hash Brown

The wife is at school and the kids are sleep on a Saturday morning. What do i eat for breakfast? Do I want eggs and turkey sausage? Or do I want eggs, turkey sausage and hash browns? I opt for all three, plus a little more . I decided to make stuffed hash browns. I started off with shredding two potato's. After shredding the potato's I added them to a hot skillet with olive oil. In another skillet I cook some eggs to add to my stuffed hash browns. After letting the hash browns cook for about 5 min on med-low heat I add the eggs, onions, cilantro, tomato's and cheeses, then fold over like an omelette. I let it cook for another 3 - 5 min or until the cheese melts. Now we are ready to eat...not yet. I top my stuffed hash browns with avocado, salt, pepper, paprika and ketchup. On the side I have a plain yogurt topped with onions, green onions, cilantro, salt, pepper and paprika. Now we are ready to eat! Just as I finish the kids wake up..dang know I have to share...lol

El Paissa Mexican Grill

Today I went to El Paissa Mexican Grill located at 4092 S. Brodway Los Angeles, CA 90037. I got an asada (steak) burrito for $4.95 including tax. Inside the burrito was steak, rice with peas & carrots, beans, cilantro and onions. It wasn't the best burrito I have had but it was good enough to satisfy my lunch hunger. The thing I didn't like was the un-seasond meat, other than that the food was okay. A couple of my co-workers had the camaron (shrimp) de ceviche and it was a split decision. One co-worker loved it, while the other hated it. One of my co-workers had the pollo (chicken) burrito and she loved it! So the next time I go to El Paissa Mexican Grill, if I go, I will most likely try a chicken burrito.
